Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Team Leader to oversee the production support operations for our orchestration platforms. This role involves managing a team responsible for ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of orchestration services in a complex, multi-vendor, cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day production support for related orchestration platforms.
- Manage incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution for platform-related issues.
- Expertise in ONAP architecture and components
- Proficiency in deploying and customizing ONAP modules in cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, OpenStack) and contributing to open-source initiatives within the LF Networking community.
- Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to resolve outstanding technical issues to determine and document root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation.
- Stay current with the latest developments in ONAP and related technologies.
- Coordinate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and operations.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using tools like Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, etc.
- Drive automation of operational tasks using CI/CD pipelines and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, Jenkins).
- Maintain and improve runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, security policies, and change management processes.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with open-source communities (e.g., ONAP, LF Networking) to stay aligned with upstream changes and contribute where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in telecom or cloud-native environments, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience with ONAP components and network service orchestration.
- Strong experience in Linux administration and networking.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices-based architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD) and scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible).
- Familiarity with network protocols (BGP, DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP) and API integrations (REST, gRPC).
- Solid understanding of incident management, monitoring, and observability practices.
- Working familiarity with testing and qualification methodologies and test automation frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with community forums, Linux Foundation Networking (LFN), MEF LSO APIs, TM Forum Open APIs, etc…
- Contributions to ONAP or other open-source orchestration platforms.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud orchestration.
- Strong experience in network automation and orchestration, including hands-on experience with ONAP, its components and sub-components.
- Hands-on experience with open networking software modeling languages (e.g., YANG, TOSCA, Ansible, HEAT, Netconf/RESTCONF, etc.)
- Experience with docker and Kubernetes development is preferred.
- Experience with Helm chart development is preferred.
- To understand the information security and core technologies and general understanding of cryptographic concepts: symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, secure hash, digital signatures, etc…
- Knowledge of public-key infrastructure (PKI) concepts and practices and familiarity with digital certificate management and concepts, such as Certificate Authority (CA), certificate signing requests (CSRs) and generating them, HTTPS servers and SSL handshake, etc…
- Familiarity with AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting), authorization roles, concepts
