Job Purpose
The Sr. Manager Product will support the National Product Manager in overseeing the product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch, ongoing management, and eventual retirement. This role involves close collaboration with various internal teams to ensure the alignment of product strategies with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and client needs. The Sr. Manager Product will also play a critical role in managing portfolio-related activities and supporting the wealth management teams in executing investment strategies.

Main Accountabilities
Product Management and Development:

Assist the National Product Manager in overseeing the entire product lifecycle, including product ideation, development, launch, ongoing management, and retirement.
Support the development and implementation of product budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis to ensure financial objectives are met.
Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all products adhere to regulatory standards and requirements.
Monitor product performance and client adoption, gathering feedback and data to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing trading and risk management processes, infrastructure, and analytics to empower the team’s oversight over portfolio management activities and mitigate trading risks.

Portfolio Management:

Assist in managing multi-asset class portfolios in line with client guidelines, internal investment policies, and regulatory constraints.
Work closely with the wealth management teams to execute strategic and tactical investment ideas, including determining optimal instruments to trade based on portfolio-specific, regulatory, and market-related considerations.
Support the front-office risk management team in monitoring, evaluating, and managing risks and opportunities of the underlying investments.
Contribute to the creation of investment and portfolio construction frameworks across asset classes, developing expertise in investment alternatives.
Assist in managing portfolio risk across various investments.
Support derivative-based overlay strategies to enhance the risk management profile of overall portfolios and/or capture market risk premia.
Participate in reviewing new portfolio designs and investment strategies for client portfolio suitability, focusing on the ability to effectively manage and implement such portfolios and strategies.
Assist in coordinating complex portfolio events, including onboarding new client mandates and portfolio restructurings, requiring coordination across multiple internal investment teams, external managers, and trading counterparties.

Team Management:

Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture to ensure effective portfolio management.
Delegate responsibilities and tasks among team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to promote skill development and knowledge sharing.
Provide support and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a learning environment that encourages professional growth.

Qualification : MBA/PGDBA/PGPM or Equivalent/ AMFI / NISM , IRDA certified
