We at RxCloud are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team.

💼 Job Overview

As a SQL Server DBA, you’ll be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems — ensuring high availability, security, and consistency across our applications.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (on-premises/cloud).

Monitor database performance, apply patches, and upgrade versions as needed.

Perform database backups, restores, and recovery operations.

Manage SQL Server security — authentication, permissions, and roles.

Optimize SQL queries and indexes for better performance.

Troubleshoot database outages and performance bottlenecks.

Implement and maintain HA (High Availability) and DR (Disaster Recovery) solutions.

Automate DBA tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or similar tools.

Perform capacity planning and storage management.

Collaborate with development/support teams on database-related initiatives.

Maintain documentation and SOPs for database operations.

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA (SQL Server 2012/2016/2019/2022).

Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

Hands-on experience with backup, restore, and recovery models.

Strong knowledge of HA/DR solutions for SQL Server.

Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization (PTO).

Experience using monitoring tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, SolarWinds, or Redgate.

Exposure to Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instance, or AWS RDS is a plus.

Knowledge of DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines for database deployment.

Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
