Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Architecture & Modernization Strategy

• Perform a structured assessment of the current solution (application, data, integrations, workflows, and operations) and define a modernization approach aligned to business outcomes.
• Develop and present

  architecture options

  (including trade-offs) and drive decisions with stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Define target-state principles such as

  scalability, resiliency, security-by-design, maintainability, observability, and cost awareness

  .
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts: current/target diagrams, integration/data flows, non-functional requirements, and architecture decision records.

Design Cloud-Native Services and Integration Patterns

• Define a cloud-native architecture that replaces app-server-centric workloads with

  managed and scalable services

  where appropriate.
• Establish integration principles (API, event-driven, batch/orchestration patterns), ensuring security, monitoring, versioning, and coexistence during migration.
• Ensure the design supports phased delivery and safe transition, including coexistence/parallel-run considerations where needed.

Data Platform & Fabric Alignment

• Define the data strategy for moving to

  Microsoft Fabric and SQL-based data services

  , including data modeling, migration approach, validation/reconciliation, and governance.
• Align operational data needs and analytics/reporting requirements with an enterprise-ready data architecture.

Power Platform Architecture (Apps + Automation)

• Define how

  Power Apps

  and

  Power Automate

  will be used to deliver user experiences and workflows, with attention to scalability, security, and supportability.
• Establish guardrails for Power Platform delivery: environment strategy, ALM approach, connector use, DLP alignment, and operational monitoring.

Security, Risk, and Operational Readiness

• Partner with security/compliance to implement identity and access controls (SSO/RBAC/least privilege), data protection, auditability, and policy alignment.
• Define measurable NFRs and ensure the solution is production-ready: monitoring, alerting, incident response, runbooks, and support model.

Delivery Enablement & Stakeholder Leadership

• Work closely with product owners, SMEs, engineering leads, and platform teams to translate requirements into an executable roadmap and delivery plan.
• Provide architecture governance through design reviews, technical guidance, and active risk management across the program lifecycle.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years

  experience in solution architecture with a focus on modernization/replatforming initiatives.
• Proven track record modernizing

  Java/app-server-based solutions

  (e.g., JBoss/WildFly) to cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native design principles (stateless services, scalability, resiliency patterns, observability).
• Experience architecting within the

  Microsoft ecosystem

  , including:
• Microsoft Fabric and SQL-based data services (data platform design and governance principles)
• Power Apps and Power Automate (enterprise architecture and governance mindset)
• Azure ecosystem: Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, Event Hub/Service Bus, Azure API Management, Key Vault, Entra ID.
• Strong knowledge of integration and security fundamentals (APIs, authentication/authorization, secrets, logging/audit).
• Experience defining enterprise governance and operating models (Cloud/Power Platform CoE concepts).
• Experience with phased migration strategies (incremental cutover, coexistence, decommissioning).
• Familiarity with DevOps automation and environment promotion practices (CI/CD and IaC principles).
• Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments.
