The candidate will be the technical authority during the sales cycle, responsible for designing compelling monitoring solutions that address client business needs. This role demands advanced skills in solution design, presentation, and demonstration, with the ability to articulate the value proposition of HPE OpsRamp in hybrid IT environments and successfully differentiate it from competitors.Qualification
Master's in Marketing or MBA MarketingCertifications
ITIL Foundation (Intermediate/Expert preferred)Certification in HPE - OpsRamp, SolarWinds, Manage Engine or related ITOM toolsCloud, such as AWS/Azure/GCP certifications will be added advantageExperience
10-12 years of overall experience, with at least 5-7 years in a pre-sales, solution architect, or technology consultant role, specifically focused on IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Monitoring tools.Responsibilities (includes All Tasks)
Client Engagement & Solution Design
Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand their business challenges, existing IT environment, and monitoring requirements.Architect and design end-to-end monitoring solutions primarily based on HPE OpsRamp
for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.Develop and present compelling value propositions, solution overviews, and high-level designs to technical and executive audiences.Technical Sales & Demonstration
Prepare and deliver world-class product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts (POCs) tailored to specific client use cases and pain points.Effectively articulate the technical and business differentiators of HPE OpsRamp against competitors like SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Datadog, etc.Respond to RFPs/RFIs with technically accurate and commercially sound solutions.Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with the sales team to qualify opportunities, develop account strategy, and drive the technical sales cycle to a successful closure.Act as the technical bridge between the sales, product management, and delivery teams, providing client feedback to inform the product roadmap.Collaborate with HPE/partner teams to stay updated on the latest OpsRamp features and roadmap.Technical Expertise & Asset Development
Maintain deep, hands-on expertise in HPE OpsRamp, including its capabilities for discovery, service mapping, automation, and multi-tenant management.Develop and maintain reusable sales assets, including solution briefs, architecture diagrams, proposal templates, and demo scripts.Build and manage a demo lab environment to showcase product capabilities effectively.Technical Skills /Competencies
MANDATORY
3+ years of hands-on experience with HPE OpsRamp
, including solution design, demonstration, and competitive positioning.Proven experience in a client-facing pre-sales, solution architect, or consulting role.Strong understanding of hybrid IT infrastructure (servers, network, storage) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Ability to create architecture diagrams and solution proposals.Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.OPTIONAL
Experience with other monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Manage Engine Ops Manager, Nagios, Zabbix) from a pre-sales or comparative standpoint.Knowledge of observability platforms (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, Prometheus) and AIOps concepts.Experience with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) for demo and integration purposes.HPE GreenLake platform knowledge.Soft Skills
