Job Description: Solar Installer Technician Supervisor Job Title: Solar Installer Technician Supervisor Department: Projects / EPC Location: As per project requirements Experience Required: 2–5+ years in Solar PV installation or similar technical field Role Overview:We are looking for an experienced Solar Installer Technician Supervisor to lead and supervise field installation teams for rooftop solar power projects. The role involves hands-on technical work along with managing site execution, ensuring quality installation, safety compliance, and timely project delivery. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution & Supervision Lead a team of technicians and installers for day-to-day installation activities. Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines. Execute installation of modules, mounting structures, inverters, cabling, earthing, and BOS components. 2. Technical Expertise Conduct site assessments, layout marking, structural alignment, and electrical connections. Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and system performance verification. Troubleshoot technical issues during and after installation. 3. Quality & Safety Compliance Follow installation standards (MNRE / IEC / company guidelines). Ensure safe work practices, PPE usage, and site safety protocols. Maintain high standards of workmanship and documentation. 4. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with Project Engineers, Procurement, and Client teams for smooth execution. Maintain daily site reports, material usage, installation checklists, and commissioning records. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and helpers. Requirements: Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in solar PV installation and site execution. Strong understanding of AC/DC wiring, stringing, structure erection, and inverter installation. Ability to read electrical drawings and installation layouts. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle field challenges independently. Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities. Willingness to travel and work at different project sites. Preferred Skills: Experience in rooftop (residential/commercial) installations. Knowledge of testing equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters. Understanding of safety protocols and statutory compliance. Prior experience in supervising installation teams.
