We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Technician to install, maintain, and repair solar power systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions. Key Responsibilities: Install, test, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Conduct site assessments to determine system requirements, shading analysis, and energy potential. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair solar power systems, inverters, wiring, and other components. Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance. Comply with safety standards, electrical codes, and company guidelines during all installations and repairs. Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions. Document installation details, service reports, and performance data. Train customers on the use and maintenance of their solar systems. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma/ITI/Certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field. Proven experience in solar PV installation, electrical work, or renewable energy systems. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and site plans. Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or outdoors in various conditions. Problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred: Certification in solar PV installation (e.g., MNRE, NABCEP, or equivalent). Familiarity with net metering and grid-tied/off-grid solar systems. Work Environment: Field-based role with travel to client sites.
