Solar Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Technician to install, maintain, and repair solar power systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
• Conduct site assessments to determine system requirements, shading analysis, and energy potential.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair solar power systems, inverters, wiring, and other components.
• Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Comply with safety standards, electrical codes, and company guidelines during all installations and repairs.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Document installation details, service reports, and performance data.
• Train customers on the use and maintenance of their solar systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/ITI/Certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Proven experience in solar PV installation, electrical work, or renewable energy systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and site plans.
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or outdoors in various conditions.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

• Certification in solar PV installation (e.g., MNRE, NABCEP, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with net metering and grid-tied/off-grid solar systems.

Work Environment:

• Field-based role with travel to client sites.
• Requires use of protective gear, climbing equipment, and safety practices.
