Solar Technician

Key Responsibilities Visit solar sites across India for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system health checks. Diagnose issues and execute on-site rectification, including wiring faults, inverter troubleshooting, panel cleaning or replacement, and system performance improvements. Attend maintenance logs and service requests raised by customers in a timely manner. Record details of each visit including findings, work performed, parts replaced, and system performance status. Identify recurring faults or performance drops, recommend corrective actions, and escalate major issues when necessary. Coordinate with internal teams regarding work scheduling, spares, tools, and customer communication. Maintain safe work practices at all times, especially when working at heights or with electrical equipment. Ensure proper documentation and closure of customer service tickets. Work Environment Frequent travel to remote sites and customer locations. Work on rooftops, open fields, solar farms, and industrial locations. Use of PPE, harnesses, ladders, and electrical testing devices. Personal Competencies Good communication and customer-handling attitude. Self-driven with the ability to work independently on-site. High level of ownership, responsibility, and safety awareness. Problem-solving mindset with willingness to learn. Qualifications & Skills ITI/Diploma/Certification in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy (preferred). Experience in solar site servicing, maintenance, or field repair (advantageous). Hands-on knowledge of inverters, panels, wiring, grounding, and solar electrical components. Ability to use testing equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, etc. Ability to travel extensively across India as per service schedule. Strong reporting skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
