System Design and Engineering: Job Title: Solar Design Engineer - Solar Energy Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Solar Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing solar energy systems to deliver efficient and sustainable energy solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure the successful execution of solar projects. Key Responsibilities: Design solar PV systems (rooftop and ground-mounted) using industry-standard software like AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope. Conduct shading analysis, system sizing, and layout optimization to maximize energy generation. Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and other relevant design documents. Site Assessment: Perform site surveys to assess feasibility and gather necessary data for system design. Evaluate site conditions, including shading, roof structure, and electrical connections. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical proposals, including BOM (Bill of Materials), cost estimates, and energy yield analysis. Develop project reports, technical drawings, and installation guidelines. Compliance and Standards: Ensure designs comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standards. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks of designs and installations to ensure high standards. Identify and address technical risks proactively. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. 6 months to 5+ years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering. Proficiency in solar design software like PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Helioscope. Strong understanding of electrical systems, grid connections, and power distribution. Knowledge of local and international standards (e.g., MNRE, IEC, and NEC). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience in designing both residential and commercial solar projects. Knowledge of energy storage systems and hybrid solutions.
