Software Test Architect

What will you do?

As a Test Strategy & QA Leader, you will define and maintain the overall test strategy and roadmap for products and platforms. You will collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to align testing with business goals, establish best practices and standards, and drive a “shift-left” testing culture. Your role will span across functional, non-functional, and integration testing layers, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and quality governance.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy

• Define and maintain the overall test strategy and roadmap.
• Align testing efforts with business goals through cross-functional collaboration.
• Establish best practices, standards, and guidelines for test design and execution.
• Evaluate risks and prioritize test efforts accordingly.
• Ensure coverage across functional, non-functional, and integration layers.

Test Automation & Tools

• Design and implement automation frameworks for regression, performance, and scalability testing.
• Architect scalable, resilient, and maintainable test automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
• Select and integrate appropriate tools and technologies for automation.
• Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Monitor and enhance automation effectiveness and maintainability.
• Promote reusable test components and libraries.

Quality Governance & Metrics

• Define quality gates and entry/exit criteria for releases.
• Track and report key quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and quality issues.
• Promote a culture of proactive testing (“shift-left”).
• Audit test processes for compliance with organizational standards.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA engineers and testers.
• Foster collaboration between QA, development, and operations teams.
• Lead test architecture discussions and decision-making forums.
• Support career development and upskilling of team members.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives within QA practices.

What you bring?

• Education Qualification: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in QA leadership or test strategy roles.
• Strong expertise in test strategy, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.
• Proficiency in tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins, and similar.
• Experience with performance and scalability testing.
• Familiarity with quality metrics, governance, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications preferred.
