to maintain and further develop existing ETL processes, always keeping in mind that the processes must be high-performance. The tasks include data-IN, passing the data to subsequent processes and creating tools that simplify the handling of the data for the business and operations departments. This requires a good knowledge of handling large amounts of data and the technical possibilities within the IBMi environment.Join us to design, build, and scale data solutions on our Entertainment Platform using batch and event-driven pipelines. You'll work analytically and collaboratively with specialist departments, datawarehouse, data frontend, and Site Reliability Engineering teams.
As a Software Engineer IBMi, you will have following key accountabilities
- Scaling our existing data processes, focusing on quality every step of the way
- Provide guidance on technology, library and tooling choices to the team
- Avoid scope-creep, over-engineering, under-testing and technical debt
- Learning our business domains
- Using good software engineering principles and best practices to solve business problems
- Intra-team and cross-team collaboration with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers
- Mentoring of Data Engineers
- Manage mid-sized projects
Qualifications
Experience
- 4+ years in developing backend services on IBMi platforms
- 4+ years in RPGLE software development with RDI
- Cross-team collaboration in large organisations and agile methodology experience

- CL (CLP, CLLE) programming
- SQL – Advanced, including stored procedures and procedural SQL for IBMi DB2
