Primary Objectives
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and backend applications.
- Partner closely with engineers and product teams to embed quality into every phase of the SDLC.
- Drive continuous integration and deployment testing to streamline release cycles.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues through automated validation.
- Provide mentorship and support to developers and QA team members on automation best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and industry quality standards.

Detailed Job Duties
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define acceptance criteria and test strategies for new features.
- Build and maintain tools for performance testing, security testing, and integration validation.
- Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on testability and quality.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support the team during production releases with regression testing and validation.
- Continuously monitor and improve automation processes for scalability and reliability.
What does SUCCESS look like?
In this role, success will mean driving measurable improvements in software quality and delivery speed. Within the first year, the SDET will have achieved automation coverage of 90% or higher for critical features and regression testing, helping to significantly reduce release cycle times through well-integrated, automated pipelines. They will establish a scalable and maintainable automation framework adopted across teams, leading to early defect detection and prevention, and a marked decrease in production issues. By fostering strong collaboration with engineering, product, and QA teams, the SDET will integrate quality practices seamlessly into the development process, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
