Software Development Director

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Software Development to build and lead a high-performing team in creating our next-generation AI Agent platform. This leader will blend deep technical expertise with proven leadership to design, develop, and deliver a platform that empowers AI Agent developers to build, test, and deploy intelligent agents leveraging our data, knowledge layers, and event-driven architecture.In this role, you will set the strategic direction, shape architecture decisions, and solve complex technical challenges—while ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.

As Director of Software Development, you will recruit, mentor, and inspire a talented development team while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and outcome-driven engineering culture. You will set clear goals, provide actionable feedback, and support professional growth to build a team that consistently delivers excellence. Working closely with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders, you will align technical execution with business priorities while maintaining a forward-looking technical roadmap.You will remain deeply engaged in the technical process—contributing to software design, coding, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting—while championing engineering best practices, such as automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures. In addition, you will collaborate with Developer Relations, Product, and Support teams to ensure an exceptional developer experience, and actively engage with external developers to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred), with at least 10 years of professional software development experience, including 5 or more years in a leadership role.You will have a proven track record in building developer platforms, SDKs, or APIs, strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript, and expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and event-driven systems. Familiarity with developer experience principles—such as documentation, onboarding flows, and sandbox/test environments—is essential. Experience in healthcare or enterprise SaaS, as well as a background in AI agents, conversational AI, or third-party integrations, is highly desirable.We are looking for a leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to inspire and align teams toward a shared vision, and the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
