Social Media Executive – Job Description


Role Overview

A Social Media Executive is responsible for managing a brand’s online presence across social platforms, creating engaging content, building community, and driving measurable growth. The role involves strategy, creativity, analytics, and coordination with internal teams.



Key Responsibilities


1. Content Creation & Management

• Develop, plan, and execute social media content calendars across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

• Create engaging posts, reels, stories, and short-form video content.

• Collaborate with designers, video editors, and writers for high-quality content production.

• Ensure brand voice, tone, and visual identity are consistent across channels.


2. Social Media Strategy

• Assist in building data-driven social media strategies to increase followers, engagement, and reach.

• Identify emerging trends, formats, and best practices.

• Support campaign planning for product launches, events, partnerships, and seasonal marketing.


3. Community Management

• Monitor comments, messages, and brand mentions across platforms.

• Respond to queries, moderate conversations, and maintain a positive brand image.

• Build a strong community through interaction and engagement tactics.


4. Analytics & Reporting

• Track KPIs such as reach, engagement, follower growth, website traffic, and conversions.

• Generate weekly or monthly performance reports.

• Suggest improvements based on insights and competitor benchmarks.

- Has practical knowledge of working in performance marketing, google ads, meta business, meta ads etc.


5. Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with marketing, design, PR, and sales teams for integrated campaigns.

• Liaise with influencers, content creators, and external agencies as needed.

• Support paid ads campaigns with content and insights (if applicable).


6. Brand Building

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant social media tools and best practices.

• Ensure online brand reputation is strong and consistent.

• Explore new platforms and features to drive innovation.


Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (preferred).

• 2-3 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.

• Strong understanding of platform algorithms and trends.

• Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills.

• Basic graphic design or video editing abilities (Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools).

• Analytical mindset with experience using insights tools (Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, YouTube Analytics, etc.).

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Take complete authority of guiding the photographer through the shoot

Note:
