Site Manager - DSD

Be a part of the journey with this position.Leading a team of engineers on site and manage the complete DSD contract. Ensure all KPIs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Epiroc code of conduct, safety and quality guidelines
- Ensure smooth execution of the DSD contract
- Handle the installation, testing, commissioning of the DSD products on the underground machines of different OEMs
- Ensure routine inspections and preventive maintenance are done in accordance with the PC recommendations.
- Handle maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration and replacement or repair of the different components as needed during the operation.
- Coordinate with product champions at PC to ensure all issues are resolved
- Ensure all installations work properly with correct configurations and firmware’s
- Plan and manage inventory and buffer stock on sites
- Ensure optimized operations and controlled use of resources so as to achieve contract profitability
- Undergo regular training and learnings to upskill oneself in handling new products
- Maintain records and documentation, prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Conduct regular meetings with customer with relevant data and reports
- Daily / as and when needed -site visit to underground is mandatory
- Support for debugging system behaviour and recording any findings.
- Support for identifying and rectifying configuration issues.
- Support for identifying and rectifying outdated firmware or hardware.
- Reporting of any unsolved issues to PC on time
- Running tests & rectifying issues as recommended by Level 3 support.
- Technically support to resolve complex electrical and automation system issues effectively and efficiently
- Smooth coordination with the contracts manager for all critical handling of contracts
- Breakdown repair, predictive maintenance, overhauls, and backlog reduction & continuous improvement projects.
- Resulting in solid equipment availability and reliability monitor & update planning & recording regimes to maximize component lives using condition monitoring and industry best practices, ensuring a solid safety and environmental culture is priority number one.
- Permanent customer relationship to keep the contract under customer satisfaction, cost control, revenues, and profit per machine and per site, responsible to get
the customer approval for monthly availability sheet and later get the signature for thePI for the invoice preparation, collection responsibility of the prepared invoices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Electrical / Mechatronics / Electronics
- 5 years of working experience in heavy equipment or mining machinery
- Experience of handling a technology product and solutions
Skills and Competencies:
- Leading a team and managing conflicts, Ensure optimum utilization of resources
- Cost consciousness and financial acumen
- Basic understanding of Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Willingness to work in underground mining environments and remote locations. Strong learning attitude and adaptability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with MS Office and basic reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work Environment :
- On site role at mining site
- Exposure to underground working conditions and rugged terrain. Rotational shifts and extended hours may be required based on site needs.
