Shift Manager

Job Summary

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day café operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent customer service, and adherence to company standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise café operations during the shift, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
• Lead, motivate, and guide staff to deliver outstanding service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage staff scheduling, task allocation, and shift handovers.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory, assist in stock control, and ensure accurate usage of supplies.
• Oversee cash handling, billing, and daily sales reconciliation.
• Train and mentor team members on café standards, service etiquette, and product knowledge.
• Ensure hygiene, food safety, and sanitation protocols are followed.
• Support promotional activities and implement café-level initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a café/restaurant, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of café operations, beverages (tea/coffee), and F&B service standards.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of POS systems and cash handling.

Work Schedule

• Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as per café operations.
