About the Role

Senior US Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage

  full-cycle bookkeeping

  and

  month-end/year-end close

  for multiple US-based clients.
• Prepare, review, and analyze

  financial statements

  ,

  general ledgers

  , and

  trial balances

  .
• Handle

  Accounts Payable (AP)

  ,

  Accounts Receivable (AR)

  ,

  bank reconciliations

  , and

  multi-state payroll processing

  .
• Lead

  accounting cleanup

  and

  catch-up projects

  with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate directly with

  US-based CPA firms

  during audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
• Perform

  variance analysis

  ,

  cash flow forecasting

  , and

  budget tracking

  as required.
• Review and finalize books before tax submissions and audits.
• Use accounting tools like

  QuickBooks Online/Desktop

  ,

  Xero

  ,

  Bill.com

  ,

  Gusto

  , and other cloud-based platforms.
• Maintain excellent communication with clients and internal teams to ensure expectations and deadlines are met.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help automate repetitive accounting tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum

  4–6 years of experience

  in

  US accounting/bookkeeping

  .
• In-depth knowledge of

  US GAAP

  , payroll laws, and sales tax compliance.
• Proficient in

  QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)

  ,

  Xero

  , and

  Excel

  .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with US clients.
• Experience with accounting CRMs, project management tools, and cloud-based accounting apps is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
