Job Description

The Technical Support Engineer will be expected to work independently and as part of the support team, they will undertake a range of highly technical tasks that arise during the resolution of tickets where they will be required to log in different systems and resolve the problem or issue. They will work on Support Portal: Reviewing incidents, problems and change requests.


Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

You will be expected to:

  • Major experience in customer support, should be able to expand on and clarify customer requests , replicate customer/ application issues, diagnose root case and document solution
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills in verbal and written
  • Ability to do multi-tasking with good analytical abilities
  • Actively participates in the testing and computer system validation of the MES System and related configuration as required.
  • History of supporting bespoke software applications is a requirement
  • Good ability to comprehend technical information related to computer software, computer and network hardware
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)


Requirements

Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:

  • Should have Database extensive experience in SQL Database.
  • Should be able to write extensive T-SQL codes, Stored Procedure, Functions and View
  • Should have experience in SSIS, ETL
  • Should have experience with MSSQL Management Studio and SQL Server Profiler
  • Should have ability to write and debug code in C#, at least debug code in Javascript HTML and XAML.
  • Should have experience in IIS(Internet Information Services)


Additional areas that would add value:

  • Knowledge WPF, HTML 5, .Net Framework, SSRS Reporting
  • Experience in Visual Studio, Telerik Software tools & Aspen tech MES
  • Industry knowledge in food and beverage processing would be considered an advantage.
  • Base Knowledge of manufacturing processes/automation. (Food and Beverage Industries)


Education and experience:

  • Be a graduate in computer science or mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering, preferably with a postgraduate degree in Information Technology or sufficient IT experience.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in software projects delivery for process-oriented environments.
