Job Summary

Tax Analyst - Support Team is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to work in an innovative environment and grow within our business. The Support Team Tax Analyst primarily provides our customers exceptional product assistance and service information via phone and email. A successful candidate must be efficient, accurate, deadline-driven, and thrive in a changing and fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Provide customer phone and email support in all aspects of the business, including product functions and features.
  • Maintain/update new and existing customer information.
  • Prepare sales and lodging tax returns based on deadline requirements.
  • Work closely with jurisdictions via phone and email to investigate and resolve notices, amend tax returns, close customer tax accounts, and troubleshoot filing discrepancies.
  • Proactively participate in a dynamic and innovative environment to identify areas of improvement and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate consistent dependability, efficiency, and accuracy in work tasks.

Qualifications

  • Fluent English speaker with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and significantly contributing to the team
  • Excellent listening skills with an ability to anticipate customers’ needs and ask good questions.
  • Ability to convey information and walk a customer through steps.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and sometimes high-stress environment.
  • A quick study with the ability to teach yourself new skills like software applications and find answers on your own.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task under time constraints.
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem-solve quickly, calmly, analytically, and methodically.
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Contribution to building AI-enabled self-service solutions such as chatbots, intelligent
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to foster a strong community and information sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Support
  • Knowledgeable in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent business math skills

Preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Indirect taxes, which can include Sales & Use, Communications Tax, Lodging taxes, or experience dealing with taxing jurisdictions
  • Knowledgeable in Salesforce, RingCentral
