Role Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior SEO Strategist to own and drive our organic growth engine. This is a critical role for someone who is passionate about search and can bridge the gap between technical execution and high-level business strategy.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive SEO strategy that significantly increases organic visibility, drives qualified traffic, and generates tangible business outcomes such as leads, conversions, and revenue. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering measurable results and is comfortable working cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute a robust, long-term SEO roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and market analysis to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Stay at the forefront of SEO and search engine marketing trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies to ensure our strategy remains best-in-class.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish clear goals for organic search performance.

2. Technical SEO:

  • Perform comprehensive technical SEO audits and work directly with the development team to prioritize and implement fixes (e.g., site speed, crawlability, indexation, schema markup, Core Web Vitals).
  • Optimize website architecture, internal linking structures, and URL canonicalization to maximize search engine visibility.
  • Manage and troubleshoot issues within Google Search Console and other diagnostic tools.

3. On-Page & Content SEO:

  • Collaborate with the content team to build an SEO-driven content calendar that targets all stages of the customer funnel.
  • Perform content gap analyses to discover new content opportunities and optimize existing pages, blog posts, and landing pages for target keywords and user intent.
  • Provide on-page optimization recommendations for title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and body content to improve rankings and click-through rates (CTR).

4. Off-Page & Authority Building:

  • Develop and oversee a high-quality, sustainable link-building strategy to grow domain authority and build brand credibility.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships, guest posting, and digital PR to earn authoritative backlinks.

5. Analysis & Reporting:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog to derive actionable insights.
  • Create and present clear, concise performance reports to key stakeholders, translating complex data into business impact and strategic recommendations.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Experience:

    4-5 years of proven, hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization with a demonstrable track record of successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns that drive business growth.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    Deep understanding of all facets of SEO: technical, on-page, and off-page.
  • Analytical Mindset:

    Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Tool Expertise:

    Proficiency with industry-standard SEO tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and Screaming Frog.
  • Communication:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking:

    Proven ability to think strategically, set long-term vision, and execute methodically.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience in [B2B SaaS / E-commerce / Your Specific Industry].
  • Experience with international or local SEO strategies.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from an SEO perspective.
  • Experience mentoring junior SEO specialists.
  • A strong understanding of how SEO integrates with other digital marketing channels like PPC, Content Marketing, and CRO.
