Designation: Sales Executive / Sales Manager

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reports To: Business Head / Director

Location: Chennai

Experience:

  • Sales Executive: 2–5 Years
  • Sales Manager: 4–5 Years(Mandatory experience in Printing / Signage / Branding / Facades / Interiors industry)

ROLE PURPOSE

The Sales Executive / Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue, acquiring new clients, managing existing accounts, and ensuring profitable business in printing, branding, signage, facade and interior projects.

This role owns the complete sales lifecycle—from enquiry to order closure and handover to operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities in:
  • Signages & branding
  • Printing & large-format graphics
  • Facades & architectural branding
  • Interior branding & fit-out projects
  • Target corporate clients, retail chains, architects, builders, and institutions.
  • Develop channel partners, architects & consultant relationships.

2. Client Engagement & Requirement Understanding

  • Meet clients to understand requirements, site conditions, timelines & budgets.
  • Translate client needs into clear scopes for design and estimation teams.
  • Educate clients on materials, finishes, lighting options and execution feasibility.

3. Estimation, Pricing & Proposal Management

  • Coordinate with design and operations teams to prepare:
  • BOQs
  • Technical proposals
  • Commercial estimates
  • Ensure correct pricing, units (sq.ft / rft / nos / kg), material specifications and timelines.
  • Protect company margins while remaining competitive.

4. Negotiation & Order Closure

  • Lead negotiations on pricing, scope and timelines.
  • Close orders as per approved margins and company policies.
  • Obtain formal work orders, PO and advance payments.

5. Sales Targets & Revenue Ownership

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Focus on profitable sales, not just topline revenue.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling across services (LED screens, facades, interiors, premium signages).

6. Coordination with Operations & Design

  • Ensure complete and accurate project handover:
  • Approved drawings
  • Final BOQ
  • Site details
  • Client expectations
  • Support operations team during execution when required.

7. Client Relationship & After-Sales Support

  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Handle client queries, changes, and coordination for approvals.
  • Ensure repeat business and long-term client retention.

8. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitors, pricing trends and new materials/technologies.
  • Submit regular sales reports:
  • Leads pipeline
  • Conversions
  • Revenue forecasts
  • Client feedback

MANDATORY INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

  • Proven sales experience in:
  • Printing & large-format graphics
  • Signages & branding
  • Facades (ACP, glazing, architectural elements)
  • Interior projects / turnkey fit-outs
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Materials & finishes
  • Installation constraints
  • Site-based sales challenges

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication & presentation abilities
  • Ability to read drawings and BOQs (preferred)
  • Commercial awareness & margin sensitivity
  • Relationship-building mindset

WHAT WE EXPECT

This is not a lead-forwarding role.

The Sales Executive / Sales Manager is expected to own revenue, margins, and client commitments end-to-end.
