Job Description/ Position Description:
The FI & CO Group Reporting Lead is responsible for managing and supporting financial consolidation, reporting, and controlling processes within the SAP S/4HANA environment. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant group financial reporting while supporting continuous improvement and stabilization of SAP FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), and Group Reporting functionalities.
The role involves close collaboration with finance stakeholders, IT teams, and business users to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and maintain data consistency across the enterprise.
Job Role/ Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead the SAP FI, CO, and Group Reporting support activities, ensuring stability and accuracy of financial processes.
- Manage end-to-end financial consolidation, planning, and reporting within SAP S/4HANA.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for SAP Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and Group Reporting modules.
- Analyze incidents, troubleshoot functional issues, and coordinate resolutions with technical teams (ABAP/BASIS).
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to design and implement functional enhancements and process optimizations.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards and corporate reporting policies.
- Manage master data alignment between FI, CO, and Group Reporting structures.
- Conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders for validation.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, configuration guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Work with SAP Basis and security teams to maintain proper system access and performance.
- Support integration with other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, HR) and external reporting systems.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Primary Skill: SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting Associates.
Secondary Skill: SAP Certified Application Associate – Management Accounting, SAP Group Reporting Certification (desirable).
- 8 + years of experience in SAP FI and CO modules with at least 3 years in SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.
- Strong background in financial accounting, controlling, and consolidation processes.
- Experience in support and enhancement projects (post go-live environment).
- Hands-on experience in integration between SAP FI/CO and other SAP modules.
- Experience in working with international finance teams and multi-currency environments.
