Senior Researcher

The role involves conducting high-quality research, preparing analytical reports, mapping global opportunities, and supporting TPCI’s trade and investment promotion strategies. The candidate will also contribute to policy advocacy by engaging with industry stakeholders and relevant government departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct economic and market research on key sub-sectors within food processing, with a focus on emerging trends, trade opportunities, and regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare detailed sectoral reports, white papers, and trade intelligence briefs.
• Analyze domestic and global market developments in processed food and beverages, including alcoholic products.
• Contribute to policy recommendations and strategy documents through data-backed insights.
• Engage with industry leaders, exporters, government agencies, and trade associations for collaborative research and knowledge sharing.
• Support sector-focused trade events, business delegations, and investment promotion initiatives through strategic inputs.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of research experience in the

  food processing industry

  ; exposure to the

  alcoholic beverages segment

  is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food industry policy, global trade dynamics, and industrial value chains.
• Proven experience in conducting industry-level research and drafting high-impact reports.
• Proficiency in analytical and statistical tools (e.g., Excel, STATA, R, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across government and industry.
• Prior experience in a trade promotion council, think tank, or policy advisory setup will be an asset.

The Council also works closely with the government, offering policy suggestions backed by data-driven research and multi-sectoral stakeholder consultations.
