Job Description

Positions: 2
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer (UI Manual & API Testing) to own end-to-end functional and API quality for our web and mobile-web platform. The platform enables the creation of campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, Bing, and more, while ingesting performance data through pipelines to deliver accurate reporting and insights. As a senior team member, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and managing test strategies that ensure high-quality releases across UI and API layers.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution:
  • Design, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites for web and mobile-web platforms
  • Conduct manual functional testing across UI and APIs, covering happy paths, edge cases, and negative flows

API Testing:

  • Test REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, and related tools
  • Validate authentication flows (OAuth2, JWT), pagination, rate limits, error handling, and status codes
  • Own end-to-end test coverage for campaign APIs (creation push to channels ID/status mapping updates/sync)

Data Validation:

  • Perform data parity checks to reconcile in-house metrics vs. platform APIs
  • Investigate discrepancies caused by clock skew, attribution windows, timezones, and currency conversions

UI & Cross-Platform Testing:

  • Conduct cross-browser and device compatibility testing
  • Perform accessibility checks to ensure compliance with accessibility standards

Defect Management:

  • Own the bug triage process, ensuring defects are reported with repro steps, logs, and proper priority/SLA alignment
  • Collaborate with developers and PMs for timely resolution of high-impact issues

Test Strategy & Quality Gates:

  • Contribute to test data strategy, leveraging mocks/stubs where appropriate
  • Support contract testing initiatives (nice-to-have: Pact framework)
  • Partner with the Release Manager on UAT sign-off and release quality gates

Process & Collaboration:

  • Provide clear, structured communication to stakeholders
  • Mentor junior QA engineers in test design, defect handling, and quality best practices

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 7–8 years of professional experience in manual testing with strong API testing expertise
  • Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, and REST/JSON APIs
  • Strong UI testing experience across mobile and web platforms
  • Familiarity with deployment strategies (feature flags, canary releases, blue-green deployments)
  • Proficiency with Jira for issue management, Git basics, and CI/CD awareness
  • Excellent written communication and crisp defect reporting skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • SQL proficiency (BigQuery preferred) to validate pipeline outputs and run reconciliation queries
  • Exposure to event-driven systems/logs (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry)
  • Experience with contract testing frameworks (e.g., Pact)
