Job Description

Senior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track and report on project performance using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
  • Facilitate effective communication, regular updates, and decision-making across teams and leadership.
  • Drive process improvements and standardization in project management practices.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers or project coordinators.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Proven success managing large, multi-phase projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle changing demands under pressure.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira, MS Project, Confluence, Slack).
  • Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Agile certification.
  • Experience in [Industry – e.g., IT, software, healthcare, construction, marketing, etc.].
  • Familiarity with budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Understanding of change management and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
