The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading and managing project execution from planning to completion. This role includes technical oversight, site coordination, contractor management, compliance monitoring, and ensuring that all project goals related to time, cost, quality, and safety are achieved. The Senior Project Engineer also guides junior engineers and acts as the technical point of contact between the project team and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Management
· Prepare detailed project schedules, resource plans, cost estimates, and BOQs.
· Break down project tasks and assign responsibilities to team members.
· Track progress and ensure timely execution of all project activities.
· Forecast project risks and implement preventive measures.
2. Technical Leadership
· Provide technical guidance to engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
· Ensure engineering standards and best practices are followed throughout the project.
· Approve material specifications, test results, and design changes.
3. Site Supervision & Quality Control
· Oversee site execution and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and standards.
· Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality of workmanship and materials.
· Monitor testing and commissioning activities.
· Resolve complex technical issues and provide on-site solutions.
4. Coordination & Communication
· Act as a primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
· Conduct and lead project review meetings.
· Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and execution teams.
· Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
5. Safety & Compliance
· Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and statutory regulations.
· Conduct safety audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
· Support environmental, health, and safety compliance at the project site.
6. Procurement & Vendor Management
· Track material delivery and verify quality during receipt.
· Monitor contractor performance and ensure contract compliance.
7. Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain project documentation, including drawings, change orders, test reports, and approvals.
· Prepare handover documentation and as-built drawings.
· Support preparation of project closure and completion reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (as per project requirement).
· 2-4 years of experience in project execution or construction management.
· Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent understanding of drawings and engineering standards.
· Strong communication and team-handling ability.
Preferred Skills
· Exposure to QA/QC processes, budgeting, and contract management.
· Knowledge of safety standards and statutory guidelines.
· Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment
· Site-based or mixed office–site role depending on project stage.
· Requires coordination with multiple project stakeholders.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
