Summary
The Senior Program Officer will be a key contributor to the Energy Systems programme at Climate Groups India office, supporting the delivery of clean energy and electrification initiatives that accelerate private-sector action. The role combines research, insight development and stakeholder engagement to help shape credible, India-specific pathways for the clean energy transition.
The Officer will work with external partners, business leaders and Climate Group colleagues across global offices, supporting high-quality project delivery and effective collaboration. They will also engage with companies participating in Climate Groups business campaigns including RE100, EV100 and the Smart Energy Coalition to help design and implement strategies that enable real-world change.
About the role
Climate Group is working to accelerate clean energy demand in India by building coalitions and networks that enable faster, more ambitious climate action. Through its Energy Systems programme, Climate Group aims to catalyse private-sector demand for clean energy and support policymakers with credible industry insights to help decarbonise Indias power sector. RE100 is a flagship global business campaign within the Energy Systems programme, bringing together leading companies committed to 100% renewable electricity.
As part of this work, the Senior Program Officer will contribute to strengthening the Energy Systems programme in India by working with business and policy partners, supporting the implementation of scalable clean energy pathways, and enabling informed decision-making on sectoral decarbonisation.

Youll be based in our New Delhi office and will enjoy the benefits of flexible and hybrid working: 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

This is a fixed-term 12-month position with the possibility of renewal. The salary offered is ₹14,43,500 to ₹16,40,000 per annum, based on experience.
