As Senior Product Manager, you will play a key role on a team that is charged with a product line contribution. This extends from increasing the market share of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer problems, and spending time on the details and the process of producing the product. As the Product Manager responsible for one or more platform functions of our core application suite, you will be responsible for cross-functional requirements gathering from a variety of internal stakeholders. In collaboration with a Product Development lead, you will work to prioritize those requirements. Once prioritized, you will collaborate with individual application Product Owners to ensure those prioritized platform requirements are able to be consumed by their corresponding applications. A key attribute of a Product Manager is your ability to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will provide input into marketing and sales, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external expert for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers. Job Responsibilities Learn and continue to enhance vertical domain knowledge for your assigned product area Contribute to the road map for the assigned product, and provide inputs into long term road map planning Participate in customer meetings, gather true customer and prospect requirements, follow up on customer needs meticulously Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to devise innovative solutions Develop User Journeys, Story Maps, User Stories and Non-Functional requirements to articulate business needs Assist product development and product QA teams - elaborating/clarifying requirements, and managing lists of exceptions Conduct business scenario testing and documentation reviews, contribute to internal training, and assist with customer demonstrations Strive to become an expert on your product Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, or business.) MBA is a plus A minimum of 10 years of experience in the software industry, with at least 4 years in Product Management specifically Strong understanding of platform technologies commonly leveraged by SaaS solutions Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstream simultaneously Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proficiency with software development frameworks and methodologies such as Agile, and experience working with Scrum teams in a hybrid environment Experience with Agile software development/project management tools such as Jira Flexibility, willingness, and desire to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks Ability to work some flexible hours to accommodate Model N’s global footprint Willingness to travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (less than 10%) About Model N Model N is the leader in revenue optimization and compliance for pharmaceutical, medtech and high-tech innovators.
