Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser with proven experience and knowledge in paper bags and packaging solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product sourcing, inventory management, client coordination and ensuring that all merchandising activities align with market trends and customer requirements. Knowledge of materials, printing techniques and sustainable packaging will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development & Sourcing:
• Source and develop new paper bag products in line with customer demands and industry trends.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency and timely delivery.
• Evaluate materials, designs, and production methods for optimal quality and sustainability.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate restocking to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Track shipments and coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Sales Support & Client Interaction:
• Work with the sales team to understand client needs and offer suitable product solutions.
• Prepare and present product samples and technical information to clients.
• Maintain strong client relationships and handle merchandising inquiries professionally.
• Market & Trend Analysis:
• Stay up-to-date with trends in eco-friendly and sustainable packaging.
• Conduct competitive research to identify gaps and opportunities in the paper bag market.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• Inspect samples and production output for consistency, print quality and material specifications.
• Ensure products comply with relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a merchandiser in packaging, preferably with paper bags.
• Strong understanding of paper materials, GSM, finishes and bag construction.
• Knowledge of printing processes such as flexo, offset, screen printing and hot stamping.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive decision-making.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with sustainable and recyclable packaging products.
• Exposure to international sourcing and global supply chain management.
