Key Responsibilities

Client & Market Engagement

• Engage directly with external clients to explain parametric insurance solutions, their applicability, benefits, and limitations.
• Support client discussions, presentations, and workshops focused on climate risk, natural catastrophe exposure, and parametric structures.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients by translating technical parametric concepts into clear, practical solutions.

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with internal Edme teams across industries to identify where parametric solutions may be relevant.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to internal teams on parametric products and use cases.
• Collaborate with teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.

Structuring & Placement of Parametric Solutions

• Understand client risk profiles and design appropriate parametric insurance structures in collaboration with insurers and reinsurers
• Coordinate with insurers and international reinsurers to obtain quotations, terms, and capacity for parametric covers.
• Support pricing discussions, structure optimisation, and placement strategy.
• Assist in policy documentation review and support during binding and renewal processes.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and capacity providers globally.
• Stay informed on market developments, new parametric products, and capacity trends.

General & Strategic Support

• Contribute to the development of Edme’s parametric and climate risk offering.
• Support business development initiatives, thought leadership, and client proposals.
• Assist with market research, competitor analysis, and product innovation related to parametric insurance.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of

  parametric insurance structures

  , triggers, indices, and payout mechanisms.
• Prior experience working on parametric solutions within a

  broker, insurer, or reinsurer

  environment.
• Confidence and comfort in client-facing roles with frequent people interaction.
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to work across teams, geographies, and time zones.
• Well-organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Background

• Experience in climate risk, natural catastrophe risk, or specialty insurance lines.
• Exposure to international insurance and reinsurance markets.
• Experience supporting or leading placement of parametric covers.
