Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Lighting Designer based in Ahmedabad. You will lead end-to-end lighting design—concept to commissioning—including planning, calculations, documentation, controls strategy, stakeholder coordination, and on-site implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concept narratives, mood boards, and schematic lighting strategies aligned to client/architect intent.

• Produce fixture layouts, lighting calculations (lux levels, UGR, uniformity), and detailed BOQs/specs.

• Design and document lighting control philosophies (scenes, schedules, sensors, DMX/DALI/Casambi as applicable).

• Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, MEP, and vendors; drive reviews and sign-offs.

• Create presentation decks and 3D visuals to communicate design intent clearly.

• Lead site support: aiming/commissioning guidance, mock-ups, quality checks, and punch-list closure.

• Mentor junior designers; manage timelines, quality, and deliverables across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of professional experience in lighting design (architectural/interior/urban).

• Proven strength in Lighting Design, Architectural Lighting, and Lighting Controls.

• Experience developing interior lighting concepts and integrating them with architecture.

• Strong project management, documentation, and multi-stakeholder coordination skills.

• Excellent technical and creative problem-solving; attention to detail.

• Degree/certification in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

Software & Tools You’ll Use

• Lighting & CAD: DIALux evo, AutoCAD

• 3D / Visualization: SketchUp (plus Lumion or D5 Render exposure is a bonus)

• Graphics & Presentations: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects/Animate (for motion where needed), Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva

• Controls & Documentation: Basic familiarity with DALI/DMX/Casambi ecosystems and Excel-based schedules/BOQs

• Nice to have: Revit (coordination), Premiere Pro (edits), basic photometric data handling (IES/ULD)
