Job Description

The Senior Finance Manager will oversee the overall financial management, planning, and performance of the organisation. The role involves developing financial strategies, ensuring statutory compliance, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting business growth through sound financial analysis and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in financial planning, accounting, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyze financial performance and present insights to management for informed decision-making.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and cost allocation
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
  • Provide management with actionable insights through MIS reports, dashboards, and performance KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management to maintain liquidity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and financial discipline.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, manufacturing finance, and inventory management.
  • Proven experience in food industry finance roles
  • Strong understanding of financial management, corporate accounting, and Indian tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with leadership presence and attention to detail.

Qualification:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) / MBA in Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership position within the food/FMCG/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong exposure to plant-level finance, costing, and operational controls is essential
