Role Overview
As an Environmental Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and
implementation of Bell Energy’s HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) strategy. Your responsibilities
will include preparing, monitoring, and reviewing HSE studies and environmental permitting
activities. You will ensure alignment with corporate policies local and international regulations and
lead the continuous improvement of Bell Energy’s HSE Integrated Management System.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and analyze environmental, health, and safety laws to align with local and
international HSE requirements.
• Prepare and monitor the development of HSE studies and plans, such as:
o Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
o Waste Management Plans (WMP)
o Environmental Monitoring Plans (EMP)
• Participate in HSE audits, site inspections, and incident investigations.
• Support HSE plans and training programs; assist in cost estimation for environmental
activities in projects.
• Oversee contractors’ environmental performance and ensure compliance with Bell Energy’s
HSE policies.• Implement and enforce environmental management procedures and daily work instructions.
• Lead environmental awareness and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Liaise with internal departments on HSE matters and ensure coordinated implementation.
• Compile and submit internal HSE reports, and documentation as required.
• Analyze HSE performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for
improvement.
• Act as a point of contact with government regulatory agencies on HSE permitting and
compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual
HSE statistics.
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, HSE roles within oil & gas, or
related sectors.
• Strong understanding of environmental laws, permitting processes, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in computer usage, including report generation and database maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong team collaboration and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
• Experience in coaching and guiding national and international staff.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and supervisory planning skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
