Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software testing and automation, with a focus on delivering high-quality products. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our software applications.
Key Responsibilities:Automation and Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript to enhance testing efficiency.
Utilize automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber to execute and manage automated testing processes.
Implement and adhere to testing frameworks and methodologies, including Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD), to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Collaboration and Version Control:
Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionalities and requirements, providing feedback on quality and performance.
Manage code changes and collaborate effectively using version control systems, primarily Git, to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
Continuous Integration and Deployment:
Apply knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) to automate deployment processes and improve the efficiency of the development pipeline.
Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured to validate the functionality and performance of backend services.
Data Validation:
Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data within applications.
AI Tools Familiarity:
Leverage understanding of AI tools and machine learning applications to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
Soft Skills:
Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Exhibit keen attention to detail to identify defects and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear reports and updates on testing progress and results.
Agile Practices:
Participate actively in Agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment with team objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (6+ years) as a QA Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on automation and testing.
Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript) and experience with automation tools and frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile practices and experience working in Agile teams.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
