What are our expectations:

P&WC engines are equipped with on-board data recorder solutions (FAST™/DCTU) that transmit wirelessly engine full flight data to P&WC Ground station File Processing Center for data processing and reporting for diagnostic and health management analysis to determine applicable engine maintenance tasks. The DPHM Ground team is developing desktop applications delivered to P&WC operators that enable communication with on-board recorder installed on the aircraft/engine. The application enables P&WC operators to perform flight line troubleshooting and any planeside maintenance actions by following published maintenance instructions.

DPHM Ground team is looking for software engineer responsible to develop, upgrade, maintain, and support DPHM Ground software desktop application. The candidate will participate in the agile development of applications complying with the DPHM business logic and the proposed solutions from P&WC IT solution architects.

What You Will Do:

• Participate in the analysis, design, coding, testing, validation and integration of the application.
• Responsible to update software applications to accommodate new design described by P&WC developed application software requirement.
• Lead software product evolution and drive technology selection
• Create and update design specifications document including class diagrams for new developments.
• Responsible to develop software verification tests, and complete software verification activities.
• Deliver complete applications documentation (design, coding review, testing procedures, testing results, delivery package)
• Participate to continuous investigation of applications in-service issues and implement fix/enhancement into the application for continuous improvements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Software Engineering, or Computer Science
• Minimum of 5 -8 years’ experience in design, development and support of software applications at the production level
• Experience with Scrum/Agile software development process, proficient in TFS, JIRA and GitHub tools
• Strong Experience with object-oriented programming, C++, .NET, HTML 5, MFC library, WPF in MS Windows environment
• Experience with Graphical User Interface design, development, and tools.
• Knowledge of additional tools (InstallShield, Test complete) an asset
• Knowledge of aerospace standards (ARINC 429, ARINC 717, Canbus, DO-178B/C, DO-278) an asset
• Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel
• Good oral and written communication skills in English is mandatory.
• Good team player, strong analytical skills and highly motivated.
