Senior Employee Relations Advisor - APAC

Were looking for a Senior Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join our People Services team in India. This role is ideal for someone passionate about ER who wants to influence Wises mission while supporting our Wisers, Leads, and teams in delivering a seamless employee experience throughout the entire ‘Wiser’ journey.

You will own ER matters across multiple APAC business functions, provide insights and recommendations on policy and process improvements, and ensure stakeholders are updated on employment law, legislation, and regulatory changes. You will also contribute to local and global projects aimed at optimizing our People Services operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted ER specialist, supporting end-to-end ER matters across dedicated business functions. Advise Wisers and Leads on a range of situations, including complex cases, while balancing risk and compliance.
  
• Partner with Employee Relations Advisors globally on cross-geographical cases, considering DEI, legal requirements, and best practices.
  
• Collaborate with People Partners to combine functional business insights with ER data and expertise.
  
• Analyse ER data to identify trends, educate functions, and advise Senior Leadership on best practices.
  
• Stay current with local employment laws and working practices, ensuring policies, guidelines, and processes remain compliant.
  
• Lead and contribute to local and global projects, providing advisory input to shape Wise’s people strategy.
  
• Deliver People-related training to upskill Leads and address knowledge gaps highlighted by ER data.
  
• Support the wider People team with ad-hoc tasks, data queries, and project-based work.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven HR experience in APAC, ideally as an HR Advisor or ER Specialist, with end-to-end ER case ownership. Experience may include:
  
• Advising on capability and conduct cases, absence cases, and grievances
  
• Supporting change management decisions
  
• Conducting exit interviews
  
• Handling escalated external claims or disputes via labor authorities or employment courts
  
• Strong subject matter expertise in Indian employment law and ER practices. Regional APAC employment law experience is a plus.
  
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse trends, present insights, and inform strategic decisions.

• Tech-savvy: Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Workday; quick learner of new systems.
