Reporting of the role
This role reports to the: Branded Content Lead – West

- Working with brands across all WPP media agencies in the West across a wide range of categories
- Work with best in business media partners & teams with an objective of storytelling and revenue generation. Across clients, mediums and across genre of content: TV, Digital, Social, OTT, Pop Culture and more
- Attain strong understanding of cross channel media strategy by working on diversified category & teams
- Mentor and hone skills of team members assigned to the role
In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
- Create, pitch & execute exciting multi-media branded content campaigns
- Establish foundational relationships across internal teams and external partners.
- Fully immerse in WPP Media's operational processes.
- Understand revenue targets and avenues to achieve them
- Formulate a detailed 6-month strategic plan.
In six months:
- Evaluate the overall health and performance of the project portfolio, identifying successful completions, ongoing initiatives, and rejected proposals.
- Implement targeted improvements or adjustments.
- Track revenue health of the team and the region
In 12 months:
- Produce a significant and impactful body of work that directly contributes to and fulfills all key success criteria for both clients and the agency, while also meeting personal and team performance indicators.
- Mentor team members to drive pathbreaking work
- Ensure annual revenue targets are met
What your day job looks like at WPPMedia:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the development and execution of content campaigns across digital, social, experiential, and entertainment platforms.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including media organizations, content creators, platforms, and production companies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of content strategists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of content strategy into broader marketing and communication initiatives.
- Develop and implement measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness of content campaigns and optimize performance.
- Translate brand objectives into actionable content strategies that drive measurable business results.
Minimum qualifications:
- 8-12 years of experience in content strategy, creative strategy, branded content development, or pop culture marketing.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing branded intellectual property, influencer collaborations, and large-scale content campaigns.
- Exceptional ideation, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, think strategically, and execute with precision.
- Experience working with creative agencies, digital platforms, pop culture media outlets, youth-focused brands, or beauty/personal care companies is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
