At IT Services, we’re passionate about software development. Our Store Solution team is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Software Developer guiding our development teams as a Lead Developer with a strong hands-on attitude. You’ll join a diverse environment with plenty of opportunities to grow.

We provide a competitive edge to the group by collecting and processing data from approximately 35,000 connected devices across DHL retail stores in Germany. To enable these stores to offer postal services and sell products, we develop and maintain a range of software solutions—from stationary cashbox systems to mobile applications. Since our work directly impacts the customer experience, product quality is our highest priority.

We are transforming the backend of our DHL retail store ecosystem—migrating and rebuilding from on-premise infrastructure to a modern, cloud-native solution built on Microsoft Azure. This includes AKS, SQL Server, and a suite of Azure services. Our software powers over 35,000 connected devices across Germany’s DHL retail stores, directly influencing customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the technical design and development of a new backend system in Azure.
• Drive the migration from BizTalk to a cloud-native architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Ensure the system is designed for automated testing and high reliability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business IT stakeholders, and project leadership in Germany.
• Act as a technical mentor and facilitate knowledge exchange and decision-making within the team.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in C# / .NET development.
• Deep understanding of Azure cloud services and architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of Kafka for messaging and event-driven systems.
• CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• API design (REST, gRPC) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.

Collaboration & Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proven experience working with European teams or in European project environments.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to break down high-level technical requirements.
• Comfortable bridging technical and business perspectives.
• Experience working in agile teams and distributed environments. Hands-on experience with collaborative workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams

Preferred Experience:

• 8-10 years in software development, with at least 2–3 years in a lead or senior role.
• Experience in system migration or modernization projects.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns.
• Exposure to BizTalk is a plus, but not mandatory.
