About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Consultant (Java & Flink Specialist) with 8–10 years of hands-on software development experience. The ideal candidate will have strong Java engineering expertise and deep proficiency in Apache Flink for real-time and batch data processing. You will design, implement, and optimize data processing pipelines that power Zafin’s Deal Manager, Product & Pricing, Rates, and PC solutions.

The role focuses on stream processing, performance optimization, and distributed data engineering, requiring a strong understanding of enterprise data integration and processing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and optimize Flink-based real-time and batch data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and event-driven processing.

•Develop high-performance Java applications and microservices supporting data streaming and integration needs.

•Integrate systems using Kafka, REST APIs, and file-based interfaces, ensuring reliability and scalability.

•Collaborate with product and solution teams to align streaming solutions with business and functional requirements.

•Implement robust error handling, checkpointing, and state management within Flink jobs.

•Tune Flink clusters and Java-based applications for optimal throughput and latency.

•Support NiFi-based orchestration and data flow automation where applicable.

•Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, streamlining deployment and observability for Flink and integration components.

•Provide L2/L3 support for streaming and integration components in production environments.

Must-Have Skills

•Strong Java development expertise with experience in enterprise-grade systems and microservices (Spring Boot preferred).

•Hands-on experience with Apache Flink, including job design, DataStream API, state management, windowing, and checkpointing.

•Proficiency in Kafka, PostgreSQL, and distributed data processing.

•Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring Flink jobs in production.

•Understanding of system integration patterns (REST, file-based, streaming).

•Exposure to Apache NiFi for flow orchestration or pre-processing pipelines.

•Experience working in cloud-native or hybrid deployment environments (Azure/AWS).

Preferred Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent.

•Experience in banking domain projects (Commercial, Corporate, or SaaS product implementations).

•Exposure to DevOps pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools.

•Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
