Job Purpose


We are seeking a talented and versatile Senior Designer to join our global marketing team. The successful candidate is someone as comfortable leading and shaping, as they are actually delivering design projects.


You are able to work with internal stakeholders within and outside marketing to refine briefs, you are a capable project and process manager to deliver high quality within timelines. You can apply critical judgement to develop templates that reduce effort duplication and enable brand cohesion.


Working within, interpreting and furthering our brand guidelines, you will create impactful, on-brand global visual assets for sales collateral, events, social media, websites, internal communications, video and other key projects.


You will apply creativity with an outcomes-focused mindset, ensuring your designs enhance audience experience, understanding, and conversion. This role offers a high degree of variety, from developing global student recruitment campaigns to producing materials for events, internal initiatives, and digital-first learning products. You will collaborate with teams across Europe, North America, Latin America, India, Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and other regions, gaining exposure to diverse audiences and cultural contexts.


This role requires expertise in both print and digital design, as well as ease with video assets, with a strong understanding of accessibility standards to ensure designs are inclusive and usable by all audiences. You will also develop reusable templates in platforms like Canva for regional and partner teams, ensuring consistency and efficiency.


You will work across Oxford International’s full product portfolio including university partnerships and higher education programmes, English language schools (EFL), and career colleges, delivering high-quality design support for diverse audiences and markets. You will also contribute to brand integrity and creative quality sign-off for Oxford International and partner brands, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.



Main duties and responsibilities


Creative Design & Production


  • Design high-quality assets for both print and digital channels, including brochures, flyers, conference displays, event signage, sales presentations, social media graphics, email banners, landing pages, web content, and other promotional materials.
  • Work within the processes of our creative studio, collaborating with marketing team and wider business stakeholders to find creative solutions to their design and marketing needs.
  • Design co-branded materials across Oxford International and partner networks (e.g., factsheets, flyers, brochures) in line with multiple brand guidelines.
  • Develop reusable templates in Canva and other design tools to support regional and partner marketing teams.
  • Prepare design presentation templates for sales pitches and business development activities.
  • Create assets for the sales toolkit including PowerPoint presentations, banners, flyers, and other recruitment and event materials.
  • Adapt creative concepts for multiple formats, audiences, and regions while maintaining design quality.
  • Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts that enhance engagement and brand impact.


Visual Standards & Brand Consistency


  • Act as a guardian for the Oxford International brand and partner brands across all markets.
  • Review and approve design work to ensure correct brand usage, tone, and consistency.
  • Maintain brand guidelines and propose updates to keep them relevant and practical.
  • Champion best practice in brief writing and project scoping, supporting teams and stakeholders to provide all necessary information to ensure projects can be executed effectively and deliver the desired outcomes.
  • Guide and support colleagues from across the business in understanding the design process, helping them translate their objectives into clear and actionable briefs.


Collaboration & Project Management


  • Partner with marketing managers, copywriters, sales teams, and regional offices to refine briefs, understand outcomes, reduce duplication of effort and deliver creative solutions on time and to brief.
  • Liaise with external printers, suppliers, and agencies as needed globally.
  • Contribute ideas and perspectives to help the marketing team prioritise and manage multiple projects effectively, as well as safeguard and further brand cohesion and stand out.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.


Knowledge & Insight


  • Stay informed on Oxford International’s programmes and product portfolio (university partnerships, EFL, and career colleges) to ensure designs are relevant and impactful.
  • Gain exposure to marketing best practices across international markets including Latin America, India, Southeast Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Keep up to date with design trends, accessibility standards, and marketing best practices.
  • Research and recommend new tools and techniques to enhance creative output.

  • Undergo an Enhanced DBS disclosure check or overseas equivalent.


Qualifications


  • Educated to degree level

Experience and knowledge


  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in print, digital design and video formats.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards for digital and print design.
  • Experience managing brand sign-off, ensuring correct usage of brand guidelines, furthering and interpreting brand guidelines.
  • Experience in developing and implementing reusable design templates.
  • A creative approach with proven design skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in creating multi-language and culturally adapted design assets
  • Significant previous experience of working in a similar design role in a busy marketing team
  • Experience in producing marketing sales collateral including developing brochures, flyers and presentations for both digital and print
  • Experience designing for social media, digital platforms and video.
  • Knowledge of the education sector

  • Advanced design skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Good knowledge of Canva and template creation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to proofread content.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • An eye for detail, with the ability to spot trends.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to juggle a range of competing demands.
  • Able to build relationships and work across teams.
  • Able to work collaboratively and on own initiative
  • Able to prioritise and respond effectively to new challenges at short notice.
  • Video editing and motion graphics experience (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro).
