Senior Data Analyst

About the Job:

 The ideal candidate should have a strong background Data Visualization using Power BI or Tableau or any other tool.

 We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our growing team. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and recommendations that drive business decisions.

 The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for uncovering patterns and trends in data.

Job Requirements:

Data Collection and Management:

 Gather data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external APIs.

 Clean, validate, and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

 Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation.

 Manage and organize large datasets in a structured manner.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

 Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

 Develop and apply statistical models and algorithms to analyze data.

 Interpret data and results using statistical techniques.

 Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate the impact of changes.

Reporting and Visualization:

 Create compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.

 Present data insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

 Develop and automate recurring reports and dashboards.

 Use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python libraries) to create interactive dashboards.

Collaboration and Communication:

 Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and data requirements.

 Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

 Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to improve data infrastructure.

 Participate in meetings and presentations to share data insights.

Business Intelligence and Strategy:

 Identify opportunities to improve business processes and performance through data analysis.

 Develop and implement data-driven strategies and initiatives.

 Provide analytical support for strategic planning and decision-making.

 Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.

Must have skills:

Technical Skills:

 Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.

 Strong experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).

 Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SPSS).

 Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

 Understanding of database management systems (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

Analytical Skills:

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful insights.

 Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques.

 Experience with data mining and machine learning algorithms (a plus).

Communication Skills:

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Ability to present data insights in a clear and concise manner.

 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Business Acumen:

 Understanding of business principles and practices.

 Ability to translate business needs into data requirements.

 Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

Good to have:

 Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

 Certifications in data analysis or related fields.

 Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.

 Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

 Domain expertise in Finance.

 Proven track record of using data to drive business decisions.

Education Qualification

Good to have: Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
