About the Role:

Senior Analyst


You will be responsible for improving portfolio profitability by leveraging analytics, developing innovative credit and fraud risk strategies, and influencing business decisions through actionable insights. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Technology, and Executive Leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategies to improve credit quality, reduce fraud losses, and increase loan originations and conversion rates.
  • Use advanced statistical models (e.g., tree-based and regression models) to drive insights and performance.
  • Build and maintain robust datasets and reporting pipelines using SQL, SAS, Python, R, and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Collaborate on or lead direct mail campaign strategy, segmentation, and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor key portfolio KPIs and develop proactive recommendations based on trends and data insights.
  • Contribute to or lead the development of innovative fraud detection tools and risk controls.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • For Manager-level hires:
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts to deliver high-quality risk projects.
  • Provide performance feedback and guide associate development.
  • Influence executive-level decisions and drive cross-functional initiatives.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline. Master’s preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, credit risk, portfolio management, or marketing analytics (5+ years for Manager-level).
  • Experience working with large datasets (1M+ records) and advanced analytics tools (SQL, Python, SAS, R, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in financial services, subprime lending, or risk strategy is highly preferred.


Preferred (Manager level):

  • 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executives.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing analytics talent.
