The Senior Creative Designer, Scientific Services is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering high-quality visual assets for medical and scientific communication projects. This role requires a strong blend of creativity, technical expertise, and understanding of healthcare compliance to produce accurate, engaging, and visually appealing materials for healthcare professionals (HCPs), and internal pharma stakeholders. In addition to traditional design, the role demands strong digital knowledge and the ability to execute digital projects, including interactive content, web graphics for medical education and engagement.Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Execution
Develop visually compelling layouts for all scientific communication projects including medical slide decks, brochures and digital assets.Create scientific illustrations, infographics, and mechanism-of-action diagrams with accuracy and clarity.Understanding data visualization principles for charts and infographics.Ensure all designs adhere to client brand guidelines and regulatory standards (e.g., pharma compliance, medical accuracy).
Project Leadership
Lead design projects from concept to delivery, managing timelines and quality.Collaborate with medical writers, editors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of content and visuals.Innovation & Digital
Explore new design trends and technologies relevant to medical communications (e.g., interactive PDFs, motion graphics and animations for mechanism-of-action videos and patient education.)
Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns and digital engagement tools.Design interactive PDFs and HTML-based materials for digital platforms.Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) for digital training modules.Collaborate with developers and UX teams to ensure seamless integration of design into digital tools and apps.Quality & Compliance
Maintain high standards of accuracy in scientific visuals.Ensure compliance with pharma industry regulations and copyright laws.Required Experience & Skills:
Education
: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.Experience
: 10–12 years of experience in creative design, preferably within healthcare, pharma, or scientific domains.Technical Skills
: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), PowerPoint for high-end presentations, familiarity with motion graphics tools.Domain Knowledge
: Understanding of medical/scientific concepts and ability to visualize complex information. Strong portfolio showcasing scientific/medical design work.Soft Skills
