Be part of a multidisciplinary content design team within Microsoft Teams’ product organization. As a
Senior Content Designer
, you will lead the creation of clear, cohesive, and user-centered content for meeting and collaboration experiences in Microsoft Teams—including chat, channels, live meetings, recordings, and integrations. You'll define and evolve messaging frameworks, terminology, and content systems that scale across surfaces and user types.You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Researchers, and Engineers to shape seamless user journeys that empower people to connect and get work done—whether they’re in real-time conversations or collaborating asynchronously. Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Lead content design and strategy for major cross-surface experiences like pre-meeting setup, live meeting interactions, and post-meeting outcomes.
- Develop and maintain scalable content systems, terminology frameworks, and voice and tone guidelines across Teams products.
- Mentor junior and mid-level content designers and elevate the discipline through feedback, critique, and process leadership.
- Collaborate deeply with PM, Design, Engineering, and Research to drive product vision and end-to-end scenarios.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative insights—including research, usage data, and A/B tests—to guide and evolve content experiences.
- Represent content design in cross-functional planning, roadmap discussions, and product reviews.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience designing content for user interfaces, workflows, or digital products—preferably in enterprise or collaboration software.
- Demonstrated leadership in defining and executing content strategy at a product or cross-product level.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product writing, content systems, UX flows, and strategic thinking.
- Comfortable working in collaborative design tools like Figma and open to writing directly within visual design environments.
- Willingness to explore and adopt emerging tools—including AI-assisted content systems—that enhance writing quality, streamline iteration, and improve speed-to-delivery. Also shape prompt design, model instructions, refining AI-generated outputs.
- Ability to balance human-centered language with content patterns, systems thinking, and data-informed decisions.
- Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary partners across Product Management, Engineering, and Research.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, HCI, Design, Communications, Journalism, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- Native‑level fluency in English and experience writing for global, diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with productivity or communication platforms at scale (e.g., chat, meetings, collaboration tools).
- Understanding of voice, tone, and terminology governance in complex ecosystems.
- Familiarity with AI-powered content generation or prompt design is a plus.
- Experience contributing to or building design systems and reusable content components.
- Background in accessibility, localization, and inclusive content practices.
