Senior Consultant legal

Qualifications

Qualified lawyer with 6+ years legal experience developed by working in a reputable law firm or in an in-house legal team specialising in construction law.

• Proficient in English (oral and written).


• Experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements.


• Highly developed communication skills.


• Ability to act commercially and to appropriately balance commercial and operational imperatives with legal risk.


• Ability to work as a member of a team and bring to the team initiative, energy and enthusiasm.


• Ability to work independently and report to manager as required.


• Exposure to Asia clients desirable.

BGV:

• Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification ( BGV ) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.


• Candidates are advised to ensure that all information provided during the recruitment process including documents uploaded is accurate and complete, both to WSP India and its BGV partner .

• Responsible for reviewing a full range of contracts and associated documents.


• Providing clear and concise feedback on contract risks and conduct follow up calls with colleagues to discuss, where required in a timely manner.


• Proactively managing and leading negotiations.


• Establishing and maintaining good professional relationships with the business, as well as with external parties such as clients and their legal counsel.


• Maintain appropriate awareness of the legislative and regulatory environment relating to key aspects of WSP s current operations.
