Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – AI and Machine Learning to provide technical expertise and strategic guidance on AI and ML initiatives. This role will focus on advising stakeholders on the latest AI technologies, supporting new business engagements, and delivering hands-on solutions leveraging cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate is a technical expert in AI/ML with coding proficiency, deep knowledge of generative AI tools (e.g., Glean, GitHub Copilot), and hands-on experience with AWS SageMaker and Azure AI Foundry. This is not a data scientist role but requires a strong technical background to architect, prototype, and implement AI solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Advisory: Provide expert guidance on AI/ML strategies, architectures, and tool selection to meet client business objectives, focusing on generative AI and modern AI platforms.
• Client Engagements: Support new business engagements by assessing client needs, proposing AI/ML solutions, and delivering compelling technical presentations and proofs of concept (POCs).
• Solution Design and Implementation: Architect and prototype AI/ML solutions, leveraging tools like AWS SageMaker, Azure AI Foundry, Glean, and GitHub Copilot, ensuring scalability and alignment with client requirements.
• Hands-On Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to develop AI/ML models, integrations, and automation scripts, primarily in Python or other relevant languages.
• Cloud Expertise: Utilize AWS and Azure cloud services to build, deploy, and manage AI/ML workloads, ensuring cost-efficiency, security, and performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business development, engineering, and client stakeholders, to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Thought Leadership: Stay current with AI/ML trends, tools, and best practices, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and client-facing thought leadership content (e.g., whitepapers, blogs).

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Experience:

• 6+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in a technical consulting or client-facing role. Experience in Agentic AI is a must.
• Proven track record of advising on and delivering AI/ML solutions for enterprise clients.
• Hands-on experience in designing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, Azure and/or AWS is preferred. GCP will be a plus.Prior experience in Azure AI Foundry Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services or AWS cloud services, including Amazon SageMaker, EC2, S3, Lambda, and Bedrock.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Proficiency in coding for AI/ML applications, primarily in Python
• Deep knowledge of generative AI and Agentic AI tools and platforms, including Glean, CrewAI, Copilot, and other modern Gen solutions.
• Strong understanding of MLOps practices, including model training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Cloud Certifications (at least one of the following):
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate.

Soft Skills:

•   Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven ability to lead technical discussions, influence senior stakeholders, and drive consensus.

Education:

•   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, managing multiple engagements simultaneously.

Good to Have

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with other generative AI model families (e.g., Hugging Face, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude).

• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud AI).

• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) for large-scale AI/ML workloads.

• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying AI/ML models.

Industry Knowledge

• Domain expertise in industries such as finance, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing, enabling tailored AI solutions.

Leadership and Innovation:

• Experience mentoring teams or leading AI/ML initiatives within a consulting or enterprise setting.
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects, publications, or speaking engagements at industry conferences.
