Software Architecture (Java/Python/Golang)

As a Staff Software Engineer - Core Platform, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-performance, scalable backend solutions for our video content platform. Your role will involve driving technical excellence, making architectural decisions, and scaling our infrastructure to support a growing enterprise customer base. Your key responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and developing scalable, high-performance backend solutions. You will lead technical initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring best practices are followed. It will be crucial to ensure the high availability, reliability, and security of the platform. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and DevOps, will be essential. Additionally, you will mentor and guide senior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence. Optimizing system performance, scalability, and fault tolerance will also be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a top-tier institution (IITs, NITs, BITs, or equivalent) and have at least 10 years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems. Strong expertise in system design, microservices architecture, and API development is required. A deep understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and high availability is essential. Extensive experience with enterprise cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and backend technologies like Java, Go, or Python is necessary. You should also have experience with distributed databases, caching systems, and message queues, as well as knowledge of observability, monitoring, and operational best practices. Your proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions will be an advantage. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience with real-time video streaming technologies and WebRTC, knowledge of enterprise-grade security, compliance (SOC2, GDPR), and multi-tenancy, experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), a background in building fault-tolerant enterprise systems, and experience designing enterprise software for extensibility and scale.,
