CMS Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Backend Engineering

• Design, develop, and test scalable microservices and APIs using

  Java, Spring Boot

  , and related frameworks.
• Develop high-performance,

  cloud-native solutions

  deployed in AWS or other cloud environments.
• Participate in

  code and design reviews

  , ensuring adherence to

  SOLID principles

  and engineering best practices.
• Ensure

  stable production operations

  with focus on uptime, performance, monitoring, and reliability.

CMS Architecture & Integration

• Partner with product teams to design or adapt

  reusable, modular, and scalable content models

  .
• Build and maintain

  structured content types

  aligned with server-driven UI and backend service integrations.
• Integrate

  enterprise CMS platforms

  (Magnolia, Contentstack, Contentful, Adobe AEM, Sitecore, Kontent.ai) with backend services.
• Implement

  APIs (REST/GraphQL)

  , webhooks, and publishing workflows to deliver content across multiple channels (web, mobile, OTT, etc.).
• Establish and enforce

  governance standards

  (naming conventions, version control, field usage).
• Troubleshoot

  CMS integration issues

  , ensuring successful delivery of content-enabled experiences.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, product management, content strategy) to align CMS and backend solutions with business needs.
• Maintain

  up-to-date technical and content modeling documentation

  .
• Provide

  training and onboarding

  for new stakeholders on CMS/engineering best practices.

Primary Skillset

• Strong expertise in

  Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  enterprise-level CMS platforms

  (Magnolia, Contentstack, Contentful, Sitecore, Adobe AEM, Kontent.ai).
• Expertise in

  APIs (REST/GraphQL)

  , integrations, publishing workflows, and server-driven UI.
• Strong experience with

  Cloud (AWS preferred)

  , containerized deployments, and CI/CD pipelines (Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Knowledge of

  SQL and NoSQL databases

  , event streaming, and data pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like

  Splunk, Datadog

  or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 7+ years

  of backend software development experience with focus on

  Java, APIs, microservices, and cloud deployments

  .

• 3+ years

  of CMS integration/architecture experience, preferably in enterprise-grade headless CMS.
• Proven ability to design

  secure, scalable, and reusable digital solutions

  .
• Deep understanding of

  engineering best practices

  , SOLID principles, and Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in

  global, cross-functional teams
