Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Azure Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale Azure cloud solutions. The candidate will be responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure, managing mission-critical workloads, and leading cross-functional teams in driving cloud-first initiatives. This role combines deep technical expertise in Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and hybrid architectures with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Environment Management

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of Azure infrastructure including VMs, VNets, storage, load balancers, and HA solutions.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), implement enterprise-scale RBAC, and enforce governance policies.
• Architect VNet solutions, private endpoints, route tables, and network peering for secure connectivity.
• Implement hybrid connectivity via ExpressRoute and site-to-site VPNs.
• Ensure compliance and resilience across multiple regions/environments.

Azure App Service & Container Management

• Architect and manage Azure App Services with autoscaling and HA.
• Oversee AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and container workloads with ACR (Azure Container Registry) integrations.
• Implement modern CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps for containerized workloads.

Automation & Scripting

• Drive automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, Terraform, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Build self-healing and scalable infrastructure solutions through automation.
• Mentor teams in reusable, modular automation practices.

Security & Compliance

• Implement advanced security and compliance frameworks using Azure Security Center, Sentinel, and Azure Firewall.
• Drive compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and proactive threat protection.

Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Implement monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Lead complex incident resolution related to performance, security, or configuration issues.
• Provide dashboards and reports for operational and executive stakeholders.

Cost Management & Optimization

• Execute cost-optimization strategies using Azure Cost Management, Reserved Instances, and Spot Instances.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and governance of cloud spend.

Microsoft 365 Management

• Manage enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 tenants, covering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Lead Exchange migration projects from on-prem to Microsoft 365 with minimal downtime.
• Implement license management and hybrid Exchange setups.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Architect BCP/DR strategies using Azure Site Recovery.
• Conduct DR drills and maintain documentation for compliance and readiness.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, development, operations, business stakeholders).
• Produce documentation for architecture, processes, policies, and best practices.

Dynamics 365 ALM

• Oversee Dynamics 365 lifecycle management integrated with Azure.
• Design/implement CI/CD pipelines for Dynamics 365 using Azure DevOps.
• Partner with developers and business teams to ensure scalability and reliability for business-critical apps.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud and hybrid environments.
• Deep expertise in VNets, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, VPNs, and hybrid networking.
• Strong skills in Azure App Services, AKS, ACR, and DevOps integration.
• Proven experience with Microsoft 365 tenant administration and Exchange Online migration.
• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 deployments and integrations.
• Proven leadership experience in team management and mentoring.

Technical Competencies

• Expert in Azure Networking, Security, Governance.
• Strong automation background (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM, Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency in monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost management tools.
• Knowledge of serverless services like Azure Functions, Logic Apps is a plus.
• Multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP) is preferred.

Certifications

• Mandatory: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Preferable: Azure Architect Expert (AZ-303/304).
• Additional Advantage: AZ-500 (Security Engineer), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate.
